Shogun item quality
But don't genuine quality versions of the shogun items exist?Wallacethewalrus 02:04, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
Cleanup tag
Sorry about that, I was testing something out real quick and was going to revert it back. :P Crazycaveman 21:46, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
- Hehe no biggie. We see some users stick that stuff on their userpages every now and then. No harm done :) —Moussekateer·talk 21:52, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
Removal of Arctic page.
While I agree the map is not hugely popular. Why did you randomly delete this article while leaving the rest in it's section up?
The page that linked to Arctic and it's fellow maps: http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/A/D_CTF_and_Payload_Race_Contest
If you are deleting Arctic, you may as well delete the other articles in there too. They're no different. In fact, they contain less information (and poorly written) than the content that I put in.
In other words, either the sub-articles should all be removed for the individual maps (they're mostly empty anyway) or they Arctic should join it's companions (Arctic was on the list of pages to be cleaned up). Personally, I am fine with either, but there should be some consistency with the action. -- Benjamuffin (talk | contribs) 19:40, 29 December 2010 (UTC)
- I wasn't sure about the inclusion of any of them to be honest so I asked Nineaxis here who would know more than us and he said the first few do deserve their own articles. —Moussekateer·talk 23:01, 29 December 2010 (UTC)
- Makes sense, to be honest I had never really heard much of said maps until I saw the articles were on the clean up page. Well, there goes another mystery. -- Benjamuffin (talk | contribs) 19:21, 30 December 2010 (UTC)

- Benjyyyyyyyy. I don't like it either but it was decided that info goes there. We want to try to keep as much information about the item out of the trivia section. It technically is information :S meh —Moussekateer·talk 02:50, 8 January 2011 (UTC)

Concernign that Huntsman killicon I uploaded
Hey, you just deleted the killicon for the huntsman which i recently uploaded. I did this because the original one seems to be broken Kill_icon. Already tried ctrl + f5íng the page, and when looking at the source of the page i dont see an error. can you help me with that? ;) SkillerBehindYou 17:05, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
- It looks fine to me. All I can say try ctrl-f5ing some more and look at the file here. —Moussekateer·talk 17:07, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
- Okay, my Opera shows it to me, but Chrome is being a little obstinate for some reason. Nevermind :D SkillerBehindYou 17:17, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
Vintage Ban hammer
Hi again. Have you ever heard about Vintage Ban Hammer, which is equipped by Rabscuttle. There is it: http://www.tf2items.com/profiles/76561197960287930 I asked you about it because I want to do page in Team Fortress 2 Wiki about this Vintage Ban Hammer. --Shimku 20:36, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
- That item isn't real, it doesn't exist in his backpack. I'd show you on on another backpack site but his profile is private now. It was put in there by the owner of tf2items.com as a joke. —Moussekateer·talk 20:40, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
Strategy removal?
Sometime within the past 24 hours you removed entirely my guide titled "How to Play Combat Engineer". Can you elaborate on why exactly it was removed? I've seen plenty of strategy guides yet you seemed to think "we don't have guides like these anymore". By that did you mean no class-specific strategies? Please write back. Thanks for reading ^_^ Theetah 08:37, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
- Heya. The 'How to play xx style' guides have been deprecated by new community guides. For example the Community Engineer strategy. Hope that helps. —Moussekateer·talk 17:58, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
- So is there any way to get a combat engie strategy back up again? Or is it pretty much gone forever? Theetah 20:19, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
- No they are gone forever I'm afraid. The current format is, in the case of the Engineer, Engineer match-ups, Basic Engineer strategy and Community Engineer strategy. —Moussekateer·talk 20:22, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
- Ah I see. Well thanks anyway. Cya. Theetah 20:56, 23 January 2011 (UTC)

moved Essential Accessories/pl to The Essential Accessories/pl
Hi, don't you think that more appropriate was version without "the". I know that for native Americans prefix the is obvious, but this wiki is international and how many old pages have now The at the beginning? Maybe a few. I also noticed that English version have The at the beginning, before I created my page, but still decided to do it without the. If my decision was wrong I apologize for it :) Ok, now i have to go to sleep. -- Szumin (talk • contrib) 03:12, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
- It's no big deal to move it, but even if you dispute the name don't create the page with a different name. It'll become 'lost' when someone else create the correctly named translated page. —Moussekateer·talk 03:15, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

The Whole Blank Space Thing
I'm brand new so I wouldn't overstep your authority, but I think something indicating there isn't a kill icon for it(maybe another icon altogether) wouldn't hurt. It sort of makes the chart look incomplete. I'm a top contributor at a smaller wiki that is almost entirely made up of charts /v/'s Recommended Games Wiki (I know, its a /v/ thing, but just work with me here) so to see an incomplete chart nags at my wiki induced OCD. It doesn't bother me enough to drive me insane or anything, and I don't expect you(or anyone) to immediately trust the ideas of someone who signed up earlier today, but its just a suggestion from someone who knows(or at least thinks he does) his way around wiki charts. --Dr Rocktipus 05:57, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
- Heya. Welcome to the wiki! Well I just feel the table looks cleaner if it has a blank space instead of some placeholder. Other things have been tried before, but there hasn't been a better alternative yet. A blank space here or there is not a bad thing. —Moussekateer·talk 06:38, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
- No worries. Thanks for the warm welcome. I wasn't aware Piemanmoo was a mod here. I've met him on 2fort2furious before. --Dr Rocktipus 06:54, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
MNC Gear
Welp, I'm just assuming you'll know (maygicaladministratorpowas) but ever since the MNC gear was added, it's icon when used on other pages, doesn't appear. Here is an example of what I mean. Template:Storenonpurchasable has the MNC gear at the bottom but doesn't show an icon. I'm guessing a bit of code hasn't been inserted somewhere but yeah. There are some other pages that are semi-borked with it like that so it'd be nice to have it fixed. Thanks! Sentry 14:46, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

Removing my redirect without asking me what I intent to do
Hi, I saw that you deleted my redirect. My question is why? Can i redirect it now, or you will delete it again. Thanks for reply. PS. I created also Medic Mask/pl. I hope that is ok. -- Szumin (talk • contrib) 00:23, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
- Heya, sorry about that. I was moving a lot of disambiguation pages and yours got caught up in the mass movement. The disambiguation page should now be at Medic Mask/pl, as you've done, so there's no need for Medic Mask (disambiguation)/pl to exist anymore because nothing links to it. —Moussekateer·talk 00:30, 10 February 2011 (UTC)

Paint can images
hello, I'd like to add some paint can icons for creating pages about every can. how can I add them without making duplicates?— The preceding unsigned comment was added by GordonFrohman (talk) • (contribs)
- Heya. This has been discussed before and it was decided that paints don't need individual pages. Don't forget to sign with ~~~~! —Moussekateer·talk 14:11, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
- I wanted to create this paint pages, cause all my friends and me have the same situation - we have a lot of hats, we have found a paint and would like to see what to paint. And instead of just having a look at the paint can page, where are pictures of all hats, painted that color, I have to keep 10 opened pages of classes and search there. This is really uncomfortable! GordonFrohman 14:21, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
- I can see how that might be an issue for you but there's not much we can do I'm afraid. It would be redundant to create pages with the same content from other pages again. The only thing I can think of is to view pages like these. —Moussekateer·talk 14:26, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
- ok, thank you. *sigh* GordonFrohman 14:28, 17 February 2011 (UTC)

Saxton Icon for responses
Now then we have saxton hale responses page ( http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/VS_Saxton_Hale_Mode/Saxton_responses )we need an icon here

for him. So i can create this icon and upload it. Is this a good idea?Rins (talk | contribs) 16:03, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
- Hmmm I don't know if all those sound files are enough to warrant their own page. But I don't think it's a good idea to put Saxton Hale on that nav because those sound files would be getting mixed up with official ones. —Moussekateer·talk 16:59, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
Language Template
You mentioned to me that this template is being phased out - if I come across it, should I remove it from the page? GJ 17:36, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
- You can leave it, there's thousands of them. Whenever someone edits a page WindBOT will remove the template after. There's no need to go through pages removing them specifically. —Moussekateer·talk 17:38, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
About "keeping mods out of core gameplay articles"
Back on December 16th, 2010, I edited Ghostchievements, and added the following information to the page:
I also added similar information to Obtaining Ghostchievements
I have a feeling that the above edit, combined with the fact that I, as well as many other servers, have been running the Horsemann Spawner plugin as of late has to do with DieHardYankee25's recent edits.
So seeing as you reverted the edit he made to the Haunted Metal Scrap page, I figured I should show you the edits I made to those pages from December '10, and see what the best course of action should be. Should the information about the Horsemann Spawner I added be removed? 404 User Not Found 05:16, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
- I think so. Might put it on the talk page, if anything — Wind 05:19, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
- Yea we should really keep this stuff out of the main articles otherwise we'd have to mention SAM on the achievements article D: —Moussekateer·talk 13:24, 24 February 2011 (UTC)

Weapon_Demonstration/ru
Why shouldn't we translate this page? I thought every person on the planet can make a demonstration video. Vpupkin 17:20, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
- Heya. Anyone can contribute to the project but a requirement for editing the wiki is that the editor can understand English (as they should be translating English to to another language). All pages in the
Team_Fortress_Wiki:
namespace should remain in English, and not be localized, so their message isn't diluted or changed in the translation process. Hope that helps. —Moussekateer·talk 17:25, 25 February 2011 (UTC)- What's the problem to ask a moderator or other translators for checking the text? And I didn't get the point about nationality of video contributor. Vpupkin 17:34, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
- Because there's no need for localizations. Editors and contributors to the wiki should be able to understand English. The project contributors should discuss the project in English. If they have a question to ask WindPower, the person in charge of the project, it has to be in English. We would prefer it if articles in that namespace were kept in English so their meaning isn't changed. —Moussekateer·talk 17:40, 25 February 2011 (UTC)

Bundle Savings
How did you come up with the numbers for bundle savings. Some of them are very different to what the Mann Co. Store shows. For the Nasty Bundle I get 20% off with (9.96 - 7.99) / 9.96 = .20 and you have 37% off. KillerKooK 05:06, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
- I just changed them to what the store claimed was the discount. I didn't check the math because I assumed Valve could do simple math to be honest. —Moussekateer·talk 05:09, 26 February 2011 (UTC)

'All self mades are level 50'
This is aimed at your undo of my edit to the max's severed head post saying that the level 50 was reserved for telltale employee's self-made variants
yes, all self made variants of items are level 50, but not all items have the level 50 reserved for their self-made variation.
An example would be the larrikin robin http://www.tf2items.com/id/old_nox/ page 4 http://www.tf2items.com/profiles/76561198034335906 page 3
Another example (to show that the max head is the exception and not vice versa) http://www.tf2items.com/id/Dark-Soldier The hotrod on page 1.
as to your undo on my blighted beak edit, my source was speaking directly to the person, but I guess there is no way for me to accredit this source sufficiently, so sorry — The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bobbler (talk) • (contribs)

- No it means if the droptime cap is 11 hours a week and you don't play for one week, the following week will be 11 hours + some amount of time carried over from the previous week. It's probably not 11 + 11 but we don't know. —Moussekateer·talk 01:40, 16 March 2011 (UTC)
