几近熔化的电容（Barely-Melted Capacitor）是一件全兵种的饰品。它的上面写有“6.22V1800”的字样。类似于烧毁的电路板，被装备时这件物品不改变任何职兵种的外观。同防火的秘密日记一样，这件物品没有在纵火狂更新中改变其外观，也没有在2012年7月11日补丁中被移除。
这件物品最初于2012年6月19日补丁中作为一件名为损坏的电容的合成材料被加入游戏。在2012年8月11日补丁之后，几近融化的电容成为了一件饰品。
直到某个未知的日期，与另一位玩家击掌时，不论他们是否装备了另一个电容，都会导致一则格式为“……走进了一间酒吧”（"...walks in to a bar"）的笑话出现于聊天框中。

细枝末节
- Equipping the 智勇神探 set will change the Damaged Capacitor description to " in such places, and ...", with random characters removed, 这句话引用自《福尔摩斯探案集》系列的《铜山毛榉案》。When combined with the other items added in the 2012年6月19日补丁, the full quote reads "Think of the deeds of hellish cruelty, the hidden wickedness which may go on, year in, year out, in such places, and none the wiser."
- A blog post was made by the 火焰兵 on the TF2 官方网站 on June 22, 1500 EDT. This date and time corresponds with the larger set of numbers on the Damaged Capacitor.
- The smaller set of numbers along the bottom of the capacitor read 07180125. When split into four and translated into letters (A = 1, B = 2, etc), it reads "GRAY（格雷）".
