Truce mode, or simply Truce, is a period of time in which players cannot kill each other. A truce is enacted on certain maps whenever a boss appears let both teams focus on the boss fight. Several limitations are applied to players in order to prevent them from messing with the other team. Truce mode can be toggled with the console command tf_halloween_allow_truce_during_boss_event
.
Limitations
- Players cannot knock each other back, but still collide with each other.
- Spies cannot pull out or use their sappers.
- The Rock, Paper, Scissors taunt does not kill enemy players if they lose.
- On-hit effects do not give any effects.

- Updated the truce during boss fights to prevent airblasting enemy players and projectiles.
