The Eviction Notice is a melee weapon for the Heavy. It is a pair of Template:W with a flat grip and spikes on the bands.

This weapon allows the player to attack 50% faster than the default Fists, at a rate slightly faster than the Scout's default Bat, but deal 60% less damage with each hit.

June 23, 2011 Patch (Über Update)

• The Eviction Notice was added to the game.

June 28, 2011 Patch

• Added/Refined recoil/draw/crit/reload forces for all of the new weapons in the Uber Update

Bugs

• A player with the Eviction Notice as their active weapon can continue to attack while stunned, albeit with invisible animations. This bug is shared with every other melee weapon used by the Heavy.
• The weapon clips through the players hands during humiliation, and while performing the critical animation.
• The Heavy will not exclaim any punching voice responses if the primary fire button is held down.

Trivia

• Template:W is the act of forcibly expelling someone from a property. The term is used as a euphemism for murder by the Mafia.
• The Eviction Notice was originally named the "Soviet Slammers", and the tips of the spikes were coated in fresh blood.
• Very early concept art for the Eviction Notice shows they were originally intended to be barbed wires, wrapped around the Heavy's fists. [1]
