The Killing Gloves of Boxing (K.G.B.) are unlockable melee weapons for the Heavy. They appear as large, smooth, padded boxing gloves in team colours.
These gloves deal the same damage on hit as the Fists, but have a 20% longer swing time and thus less potential to follow up hits. When the Heavy kills an enemy with the K.G.B. however, he is guaranteed Critical hits for the next 5 seconds, and can kill additional enemies with the weapon to refresh the boost time. This boost affects other weapons, allowing the Heavy to switch to other weapons such as the Shotgun to deal further damage at the cost of losing boost time through the switch animation.

Bugs
- This weapon's Critical hit animation stopped working after the January 7, 2011 Patch.
- The Critical hit effect caused when killing someone counts towards the Supreme Soviet Achievement.
- A feign-death with the Dead Ringer will not trigger the Crit-boost effect of the weapon.
Update history
- Fixed the Heavy's hands disappearing when he's stunned while wearing the K.G.B.
- This weapon's kill icon was updated.
Trivia
- K.G.B. was the acronym for the Russian security agency, secret police and intelligence agency Komityet Gosudarstvennoy Bezopasnosty, which was disbanded in 1995.
- The K.G.B.s taunt is an homage to Mr. Sandman's warm-up technique from Punch Out!!.
- Several custom maps have been designed around the concept of 'boxing matches', in which all players only use the K.G.B.
- In the .gcf files, there is a scrapped weapon mechanic which was intended for the K.G.B. With it, every kill would earn the Heavy, and his surrounding allies, 50 health regenerated and an additional 10% to their Critical hit chances. The downside being that the Heavy taunts after each and every successful K.G.B. kill.
