Borscht Belt Kill 10 Heavies with The K.G.B. Difficulty: Medium-Hard How to obtain: It is rather uncommon to find two Heavies "boxing" each other, unless it is for fun. If possible, ambush an enemy Heavy after acquiring the K.G.B.'s critical boost from another victim. Getting kills with any of the Heavy's unlockable melee weapons will count towards this achievement. |
Class Struggle Work with a friendly Medic to kill an enemy Heavy & Medic pair. Difficulty: Medium How to obtain: To win such an encounter, ambush the opposing pair or have the Medic deploy an ÜberCharge. Aim for the enemy Heavy first, then kill the enemy Medic as he flees. To defeat another Heavy, the standard Minigun is preferred for its raw damage. |
Communist Mani-Fisto Kill an enemy with a critical punch. Difficulty: Very Easy How to obtain: When there is no time to rev your Minigun, switch to your melee weapon and start swinging. Try to acquire the K.G.B.'s critical boost first for use on another victim. |
Crime and Punishment Kill 10 enemies carrying your intelligence. Difficulty: Easy-Medium How to obtain: The Heavy is rather slow, making chasing a fleeing enemy almost impossible. When an enemy player takes your Intelligence, use the Intelligence compass to locate and intercept him. Use Natascha to slow the runner down. |
Crock Block Survive a direct hit from a critical rocket. Difficulty: Medium How to obtain: While the Heavy has a large pool of health, keep a Medic nearby to stay overhealed as you fight on the front lines. Oddly, although a critical rocket from the Rocket Jumper does no damage, it will also count towards the achievement. |
Division of Labor Kill 10 enemies with a Medic assisting you, where neither of you die. Difficulty: Hard How to obtain: This achievement coincides with "Big Pharma," a corresponding achievement for the Medic. Be a good Medic buddy and play conservatively to protect him from all possible threats. When possible, keep an ÜberCharge ready for emergencies. |
Don't Touch Sandvich Kill 50 Scouts using Natascha. Difficulty: Medium How to obtain: While both the Heavy and the Scout excel at close range, you have more health. Use Natascha's slowdown to keep Scouts pinned down and unable to dodge your fire. |
Factory Worker Kill 20 enemies while being recharged by a dispenser. Difficulty: Medium How to obtain: This achievement partially coincides with "(Not So) Lonely Are The Brave," a corresponding achievement for the Engineer. Ask that a Dispenser be placed near chokepoints to allow you to stay near the front lines. If on the defensive, staying near a Dispenser turns you into a slightly more mobile Sentry Gun. |
Five Second Plan Kill an enemy in the first 5 seconds after you exit a teleporter. Difficulty: Easy How to obtain: Obtaining this achievement will also obtain "Riftwalker," a general achievement. Immediately after teleporting, look for any nearby enemies to kill. If you manage to telefrag someone, you will also earn the achievement. |
Gorky Parked Kill 25 enemies while you're standing on a control point you own. Difficulty: Easy How to obtain: On any map, action happens most frequently near the Control Points. Standing on a Control Point will prevent enemies from capturing it, leaving you free to open fire. |
Heavy Industry Fire $200,000 worth of minigun rounds in a single life. Difficulty: Very Easy How to obtain: If each cartridge costs $200, you will need to fire 1000 rounds to spend $200,000. This equates to approximately 2 minutes of continuous fire. |
Icing on the Cake Get 20 kills on players that you're dominating. Difficulty: Easy How to obtain: If you are dominating a player, you are probably already repeatedly killing him anyway. Be aware that the player you are dominating may decide to single you out or switch classes for the sole purpose of obtaining Revenge. |
Iron Kurtain Take 1000 points of damage in a single life. Difficulty: Easy How to obtain: The Heavy is designed to absorb large amounts of damage, so keep a Medic nearby and participate in firefights. Lethal damage that exceeds your current health, such as that from a backstab, counts towards the total requirement. |
Kollectivization Get 1000 assists. Difficulty: Easy How to obtain: This achievement will naturally be obtained after a modest amount of time playing as the Heavy. Although the Minigun deals less damage at longer ranges, you can still use it to provide support. |
Konspicuous Konsumption Eat 100 sandviches. Difficulty: Very Easy How to obtain: This achievement will naturally be obtained after a modest amount of time playing as the Heavy. Consumption of the Dalokohs Bar, Buffalo Steak Sandvich, and Fishcake will count towards this achievement. |
Krazy Ivan Kill 50 enemies while both you and your victim are underwater. Difficulty: Medium How to obtain: When you see an enemy retreat into a body of water, follow them to finish the job. 2Fort and Well have bodies of water situated reasonably near areas of combat. |
Lenin A Hand Help 5 teammates get revenge on their nemeses. Difficulty: Easy How to obtain: If a teammate is being dominated, help him get revenge by targeting his nemesis. |
Marxman Kill 10 enemies in mid-air with the minigun. Difficulty: Easy How to obtain: Players commonly jump to avoid fire and reduce damage. Follow them with your crosshair as they do so. |
0wn the Means of Production Remove 20 stickybombs by killing the Demomen who produced them. Difficulty: Easy-Medium How to obtain: At close range, the Heavy dominates the Demoman. Killing a Demoman will automatically remove all of his active Stickybombs. |
Party Loyalty Kill 50 enemies within 3 seconds of them attacking your Medic. Difficulty: Easy-Medium How to obtain: The Medic is often the most targeted teammate. Be a good Medic buddy and protect him before he is killed. |
Permanent Revolution Kill 5 enemies without spinning down your gun. Difficulty: Easy How to obtain: Simply keep your Minigun active long enough to earn the acheivement without winding it down. |
Photostroika Provide an enemy with a freezecam shot of you taunting while invulnerable. Difficulty: Easy How to obtain: Taunting while under the effects of an ÜberCharge can be rather detrimental to the team effort, so only attempt this after you have killed the last enemy in an area. |
Purge Kill 15 enemies capturing a control point you own. Difficulty: Easy How to obtain: Stay near Control Points when on the defensive, killing any nearby enemies. |
Pushkin the Kart Get 50 caps on payload maps. Difficulty: Easy How to obtain: As you push the Payload cart, you will steadily accumulate points for capturing it. Use your raw firepower to prevent enemies from mounting an effective defense. |
Rasputin In a single life, get shot, burned, bludgeoned, and receive explosive damage. Difficulty: Medium How to obtain: While at the front lines, keep a Medic nearby to stay healthy as you soak up damage. You must be shot by a hitscan weapon, such as the Sniper Rifle or Shotgun, burned by a Pyro's Flamethrower, bludgeoned by a melee weapon, and receive explosive damage from the Rocket Launcher or similar weaponry. |
Rationing Kill an enemy with your shotgun while you're out of minigun ammo. Difficulty: Easy How to obtain: Intentionally empty your Minigun ammunition by avoiding dropped weapons or ammo packs. The Shotgun is a deceptively powerful weapon. Using it will increase the Heavy's mobility and allow him to chase fleeing enemies more easily. |
Redistribution of Health Heal 1000 damage with med-kits in a single life. Difficulty: Medium-Hard How to obtain: Control Points typically have health and ammo kits nearby which you can use to stay healthy. Your dropped Sandvich is considered to be a med-kit. Healing done by a Medic or a Dispenser obviously won't count towards this achievement. |
Red Oktoberfest Earn a domination for a Medic who's healing you. Difficulty: Easy How to obtain: A Heavy and Medic working together make a powerful force. You should be able to earn the Medic a domination as the two of you rampage across the map. Protect the Medic to ensure he does not lose his domination progress. |
Show Trial Kill an enemy with a taunt. Difficulty: Medium How to obtain: Find an unaware enemy, such as a scoped Sniper, and perform the Fists' Showdown taunt on them. Unlike the other taunt kills, Showdown can be aimed and will go a short distance ahead of where your crosshair is aimed. |
Soviet Block While invulnerable and on defense, block an invulnerable enemy Heavy's movement. Difficulty: Easy How to obtain: The best way to counter an ÜberCharge is to deploy another ÜberCharge. Prevent the enemy Heavy from advancing through a chokepoint by simply standing in front of him. |
Soviet Union Get 25 enemy kills where you either assist or are assisted by another Heavy. Difficulty: Easy How to obtain: Coordinate with a friendly Heavy to destroy the same targets. |
Spyalectical Materialism Kill or assist in killing 10 cloaked Spies. Difficulty: Easy How to obtain: When you notice the shimmer of an enemy Spy's cloak, use the Minigun's wide spray of fire to scan the area and keep him from escaping. |
Stalin the Kart Block the enemy from moving the payload cart 25 times. Difficulty: Medium How to obtain: The Heavy is rather slow, so it is more difficult to intercept the cart as it moves. Ambush players who are pushing the cart; the element of surprise should give you enough time to rev your Minigun and successfully defend. |
Supreme Soviet Get ÜberCharged 50 times. Difficulty: Easy How to obtain: A Heavy makes a prime ÜberCharge candidate. Lead your team's advances during your charged state. Obtaining critical hit boosts from the K.G.B. or First Blood will count towards this achievement. |
Vanguard Party Be the first on your team to start capturing a control point in a round. Difficulty: Medium How to obtain: As a Heavy, you will take great part in the initial fight for the first Control Point. Make use of the G.R.U. or Buffalo Steak Sandvich to reach the Control Point before the other faster classes do. It is possible to obtain this achievement during Sudden Death and Arena, where capturing points takes less priority over killing enemies. |
