Friendly Enemies

"All you ever do is disappoint and betray me. Cheating. Stealing. Friend-Making!"
The Administrator scalding Friendlies

Friendly Enemies or players refer to as "Friendly(s)" are generally enemy players who pose no threat to his/her/their opposing team and have no intention of fighting back his/her/their opponents unless for self-defense. His/her/their enemies recognizes the Friendly's position and do not attempt to kill the "Friendly", Recognizing each other as "Friends." Most of the time, Friendlies will help out the enemy team mainly by healing enemy players with a Sandvich or Buffalo Steak Sandvich as a "Friendly Heavy" or heal disguised spies that are known to be spies as a Medic. On some occasions, Friendlies will kill themselves to provide ammo for their enemies or signal each other for upcoming danger. Players who kill the Friendly without mercy or pause are sometimes referred to as "Tryhards." Getting "free" kills off of a players who do not resist assault.

Friendly enemies surfaced more within the WAR! update.

Setup

The most common type of friendly is the "Friendly Heavy." Friendly heavies tend to usually have a Sandvich equipped and would crouch while having said Sandvich deployed. As far as the community sees, this is the universal sign of a Friendly Heavy, so long as the heavy does not attempt to kill enemy players who see said heavy as a friend.

A well known complete setup for the Friendly Heavy would be for that heavy to have the Sandvich, Holiday Punch, Tough Guy's Toque, and Merc's Muffler equipped.

Other known types of friendlies are "The Spycrab," "The Demopan," and etc.

  • The Spycrab is basically a spy with his disguise kit deployed. Crouch-walking and looking up. Additionally, there's a chance of Spy doing his Spycrab taunt with the disguise kit.
  • The Demopan can be found here.
