Ideas
GrampaSwood's ideas
- Removed the ability of the Engineer to be gaming. (Obvious engineer gaming fad reference)
- Removed government agents spying on players. (Would totally fit Mann Co. doing shady stuff, also references community fad)
- All players can now build walls and stairs using materials gathered from the environment. (Fortnite recently removed the ability to build)
- Removed localization files, too confusing for new developers. (Standard loc files joke)
or
- Removed localization files so we can update them again. (Standard loc files joke, if the game's devs are too touchy of a subject)
- Replaced vehicle taunts with electric vehicles to accommodate climate change. (Mann Co. is responsible towards the environment! Without an environment, there are no people, and no people means no one to sell hats and weapons to!)
- The Half-Zatoichi can now deflect attacks when timed right. (Sekiro reference)
- Demoman's shields can now parry if you git gud. (Dark Souls reference)
- Reintroduced Duck Tokens and made them Non-fungible. (NFTs)
- Increased chance for Spy to say certain voice lines when within a 10 meter radius of a vent shaft. (I love among us)

- I like all of your ideas with the exception of the Duck Token. I previously talked on IRC regarding joking NFTs (don't remember exactly what it was, but it had to do something with NFTs), but this is a topic that is widely hated by a lot of people, and usually get a ton of backlash. I think it would be better not include this one. Valve themselves said they won't allow Blockchain games on their store, too. I know this is a section for ideas (which may or may not be included on the fake patch note), but just wanted to point it out. - ▪ - 17:52, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
- I am aware of this, but I think for April Fool's it's obvious enough that it's a joke. Fortnite is commonly hated as well and we've had stuff from Fortnite before.
GrampaSwood (talk) 17:57, 30 March 2022 (UTC)- First section: + (1st, 2nd, 3rd lines)
- Second section: + (3rd, 6th lines) - (5th line)
- Lines with no vote means I neither vote positive or negative.
- I was going to edit this post but then got an edit conflict, so I'll reply to you again as well. I'm including my votes this time. I like some of them (and I don't see why not include some from the second section to the first, or vice-versa). The Half-Zaitoichi reflect mechanic could also be a reference to Overwatch and it's what most people may think about it when reading, which is fine by me.
- The difference between Fortnite and introducing NFTs in TF2 is that Fortnite is an obvious fake patch note, because it's an obvious reference and it's from something not owned by Valve. The NFT one is from a Valve game, coming from an official Wiki (even if it's a fake April 1st Patch Note). While the jokes about NFTs suggested by you and Yossef aren't directly out of malice, I'm pretty sure it's going to have the reverse effect upon readers. That's just my take. - ▪ - 18:09, 30 March 2022 (UTC)

Yossef’s ideas
These are some ideas that I came up with. I might add more if I find them funny.
- NFTs were added to the Mann Co. Store.
- New Game Mode: Battle Royale
- Added TikTok promo items.
Yossef | Talk | Contributions 17:39, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
- - (explained above why the negative vote)
- + (would go well with Swood's 3rd suggestion)
- No vote on the third one. - ▪ - 18:09, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
- 1st line: Nope - NFTs are a no-go.
- 2nd line: + - is good.
- 3rd line: Neutral - I'm a bit unsure on that one, but I wouldn't really mind it. — Wookipan (talk | contribs) 23:20, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
Jh34ghu43gu's ideas
- Updated Mann Manor to improve safety
- Reworked the electrical wiring to be up to code.
- Replaced all open flames with light bulbs.
- Patched some holes in the floor that lead to bottomless pits.
- Removed all pumpkins to prevent a certain other-worldly spirit from possessing them.
- Added pumpkin pie to the Mann Co. Store (Needs the previous note to make sense)
- Single use
- Limited stock
- Tasty!
- Updated Taunt: Fresh Brewed Victory to use a can of root beer instead of a coffee mug. (Reference to the mug maniac meme, although probably have to use nondescript root beer)
