A Tour of Duty is a collection of missions that may span multiple maps in Mann vs. Machine official servers[1]. Released in the relative update they are available only on servers which run Mann Up Mode; a Tour of Duty Ticket is required to participate in a Tour of Duty. Squad Surplus Vouchers can be used as well.
Depending on the tour, completing one mission will grant a player an Operation badge: starting at level 1, these badges track in their description the stat of the subsequent missions completed which belong to their Tour of Duty. Once a Tour of Duty is completed, its level increases by 1.
Also, completing a Tour of Duty will grant one of the Botkiller weapons: Rust and Blood are granted from Operation Oil Spill, Silver and Gold weapons are granted from Operation Steel Trap, Silver and Gold Engineer weapons are granted from Operation Mecha Engine and Carbonado and Diamond are granted from Operation Gear Grinder. The Blood, Gold and Diamond have a smaller chance of acquirement, but are more valuable due to its rarity. All items recived are Strange quality.
