En inbiten och redo man ifrån den Australiensiska naturen, Krypskytten föredrar att ta ned sina mål ifrån ett stort avstånd, dock är han inte rädd att få sina händer smutsiga när väl situationen kräver det av honom. Krypskytten föredrar att gömma sig vid förhöjda utposter, eller vid platser som man inte så lätt kan se, vilket gör honom till en exemplarisk klass för att slå ut långsamma klasser så som den tunge. Han är ochså ideal för att slå ut fiende sjukvårdare, vilket kan ge sitt eget lag en chans att avancera.

Även om Krypskytten föredrar att isolera sig ifrån frontlinjerna, tillåter huntsmannen honom dock att göra en entre på krigsfältet, vilket kan tillåta honom att lägga ned en stor sjö av pilar, medans hans mysteriska Jarate kan få laget att slå Mini-Crits emot fiender som blir träffade av det, eller bli släckta med den om de brinner.

Krypskytten får sin röst ifrån Patrick Lowrie.

Trivia

• In his fight scene with the Sniper in Meet the Spy, the Spy inflicts a gash on the Sniper's cheek. The gash was later added to the Sniper's in-game model.
• The bullets the Sniper keeps in his vest pocket are different than the ones he actually uses for his rifle or his Submachine Gun.
• The Sniper's parents live on Adelaide Street, Australia (Red House on the left). This could mean the BLU Sniper's parents live on the same street but in the Blue House on the right.
• In Meet the Spy, the BLU Sniper holds his rifle left-handed.
• The Sniper's voice actor, John Patrick Lowrie, is married to Ellen McLain, voice actress for the Administrator. Both John and Ellen provided voices for characters in Template:W.
• The Sniper's world model is only seen with a fingerless glove on his left hand, and a watch on his left arm, where all of his view models have a glove on both hands, and no watch. (Viewmodel_fov must be set higher to see the watch, or lack thereof.)
• The Sniper is the tallest class in the game.
