El Concurso de Descripción de Sombreros fue anunciado el 24 de agosto de 2010.
Tras las críticas a otros concursos en los que no se podía participar sin tener conocimientos de modelaje en 3D, el equipo de TF2 anunció este evento en el blog dando posibilidad de participar a toda la comunidad, al menos a los registrados en los foros de Steam. El objetivo de este concurso fue permitir a los miembros de la comunidad establecer descripciones para los objetos cosméticos disponibles en el juego.
Las participaciones ganadores, elegidas por Valve, serían añadidas a sus correspondientes objetos como descripción oficial en el juego.
Requisitos y plazo
El plazo fue hasta el 27 agosto de 2010. Los requisitos fueron publicados en los foros de Steam.
Normas
- Que sea una descripción breve e interesante del objeto, en 75 palabras o menos.
- El usuario debe ser el único creador de la descripción.
- El ganador obtendrá el orgullo de tener su descripción en el juego.
