The Victory Lap is a special taunt for all classes.
When activated, the character enters a team-colored bumper car identical to the ones seen in Carnival of Carnage and Gravestone. While taunting, the player can remain still, or move freely in any direction. Movement speed and traction is reduced when using this taunt, and a quiet, humming sound effect loops while it is active. The player can also press primary fire (default key: MOUSE1) to honk the bumper car's horn. Upon ending the taunt, the player stands up, the bumper car almost instantly disappearing, with a quiet, magical "poof" noise.
For the voice lines and animations of each class, please refer to the respective class taunts pages.

- The Victory Lap was added to the game.
- Updated the description.
Bugs
- The Victory Lap's hum stops playing if interrupted by footsteps or fall damage.
- If the player is wearing an unusual whilst activating the Victory Lap, the bumper car sometimes uses the red team model regardless of team.
- If a Sniper gets an arrow lit on fire, the sound of the arrow lighting repeats for the duration of the taunt.
- If an Engineer or Soldier has the Panic Attack equipped and out when they use the Victory Lap, the sound of the weapon's reload repeats for the duration of the taunt once they beep the cart's horn.
- As the lights of the bumper car are models, visual effects (e.g. ÜberCharge and outlines) affect the model and texture.
- If a player is in the process of activating the Victory Lap and gets stunned by the stunning portions of some taunt kills, the car does not appear until they exit the taunt and taunt again once the stun effect wears off.
- The bumper car and player often float slightly above the ground.
- The bumper car does not appear while on the losing team at the end of a round.
- Upon death, the engine sound may still be played to the player.
- This can be fixed by typing
snd_restart
in the console.
- This can be fixed by typing
- Sometimes, if a player is carrying a certain weapon and activates the Victory Lap, the bumper car appears RED regardless what team they are on. The reverse can also happen, having the bumper car as BLU regardless of the team.
- If a player has a reskin of a weapon or a Decorated weapon, and uses the taunt, it sometimes uses the material skin in cilent-side view, and is invisible to other players.
- If the player is a Engineer with the Short Circuit, the cart may disappear incorrectly when exiting the taunt.
- If the player cancels the taunt mid-fall, the animation for exiting the taunt cuts off and the player's velocity resets, cancelling or reducing fall damage if timed properly.
- If the player has selected Heavy and activates the taunt, it sometimes plays the default walking animation of the current weapon and have the bumper car model at the player's feet, clipping through the ground and moving with the walk animation.
- Initiating the taunt while having the Quick-Fix or the Vaccinator active as the Medic, his default Medi Gun backpack always appears on his player model until the end of the taunt.
- This does not happen if a cosmetic item that hides his backpack model is also equipped alongside.
Trivia
- The term "victory lap" means a lap taken by the victors of motor sport races to celebrate their win.
