A sober man would find a body of water first.
Shanty Shipmate publicity blurb

The Shanty Shipmate is a community-created special taunt for the Demoman.

When activated, the Demoman does a 180° jump as the SS DeGroot - a small rowing boat, painted with the team's color and a white stripe around it with a handwritten registry on the back - pops out of the ground; he then sits down and starts rowing, occasionally looking around and saying drunken gibberish. Upon finishing the taunt, the Demoman stands up with an unstable step, and the boat disappears. Every time the Demoman rows, the boat moves a little, with the player only being able to turn left and right.

The Shanty Shipmate was contributed to the Steam Workshop.

Update history

October 5, 2022 Patch (Scream Fortress 2022)

  • The Shanty Shipmate was added to the game.

Bugs

  • Using a voice command that makes the Demoman do a gesture (such as "Go! Go! Go!") while he is rowing causes the boat to move continuously, rather than only while he rows.[1]
