— The Engineer trapping an enemy
|
” |
The Bear Trap is a scrapped grenade weapon that is similar in appearance to a standard bear trap. It was supposed to act like the Caltrop from the games Team Fortress and Team Fortress Classic, slowing down the enemy while inflicting a slight amount of damage. This, along with other grenades were cut from the final game due to Valve's choice to remove grenades as weapons from Team Fortress 2.
The RED Bear Trap reappeared as a decoration in the Mann vs. Machine Upgrade Station.
