Sam's Hat, from the video game series Sam & Max, was to have been included with Max's Severed Head, the Lugermorph and the Big Kill as part of the week-long cross promotion for purchasing Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse via Steam, but was eventually scrapped.
Trivia
- The hat would have been available to all classes in TF2.
- The hat was cut due to the modeling team having trouble getting the hat to properly fit each class, though team-specific textures remained in the game files during and beyond the promotion, but were later removed during an unknown patch.
