The Bear trap is a scrapped grenade weapon for Team Fortress 2. Its exact function is unknown, although it has been speculated that it may have been intended to be the equivalent of the Scout's Caltrop weapon from Team Fortress Classic, which, if stepped on, would reduce the movement speed of opposing players as well as damage them.
