En Germansk man med relativt svag anslutning till medicinsk etik, Medicen är utan tvekan den primära healing klassen på laget. Eftersom Medicen inte har det bästa arsenalet för man mot man strider, hittar man ofta honom nära fronten, helande sina kamrater samtidigt som han försöker hålla sig ur fara. Medan hans Medigun är fokuserad på en allierad regenererar de snabbt tillbaka sitt liv, fast om han helar en oskadad kommer den helade temporärt få mer liv. Medan han helar fylls Medicens ÜberCharge mätare tills vapnet börjar gnistra, då kan han aktivera en kraftig shock som gör honom och en en allierad odödlig eller ger dem Criticala skott för 8 sekunder.

Medicen är den enda klassen som kan regenerera liv; ju längre han är ute ur strid, desto snabbare kommer han återhämta sig. En skadad Medic regenererar liv med en hastighet av 3 HP per sekund, vilket ökar över de tio kommande sekunderna för att hela 6 HP per sekund (däremot om han använder Blutsauger reduceras hans regenerering från 3-6 till 1-4).

Basic Strategy

• Use your Medigun to heal teammates, and buff them up to 150% of their normal health.
• Fill your ÜberCharge by healing teammates. Then RIGHT CLICK to activate.
• Your ÜberCharge makes both you and your Medigun target invulnerable for a short time.
• You fill your ÜberCharge faster by healing teammates who are more hurt.
• Keep alert for teammates calling for your help. Use the Medic arrows onscreen to find them.

Trivia

• Robin Atkin Downes, the Medic's voice actor, has voiced numerous other characters for video games including Template:W, Template:W and Template:W.
• According to one of the Demoman's domination lines, the Medic has a wife.
• The Medic has not received any new lines, either in-game or in the Meet the Team videos, since the game was released.
• Although he lived through the Second World War, and his bio hints at a dark past, Valve has stated that the Medic is not a former Nazi.
• The Medic is the only class with his own class-specific voice command (to alert teammates of a full ÜberCharge).
• The Medic was the first class of the 9 to receive his own class specific update. This update was prompted due to players feeling the Medic was underpowered and was therefore the least played class overall. After the Gold Rush/Medic Update was released, the amount of players playing Medic on a regular basis increased dramatically.
