When eaten by the Heavy, it will temporary increase the user's maximum health by 50 for 30 seconds, and will gradually replenish an amount equal to 100 health over a period of four seconds. While the Heavy is eating, he makes loud eating sounds, and the player is forced into third-person view. As eating the Dalokohs Bar is considered a taunt, it cannot be consumed in instances where taunts cannot be used, such as when the player is underwater. Use of the Dalokohs Bar when Crit-boosted has no additional benefits.

The recharge time for the Dalokohs Bar is approximately 10 seconds. The Heavy can instantly recharge the Dalokohs Bar by visiting a Resupply cabinet, picking up his own thrown Dalokohs Bar, or by collecting any health pickup while at full health. The recharge timer begins as soon as the Dalokohs Bar is consumed or dropped. Should the Heavy be killed while holding the Dalokohs Bar, it will be dropped as a collectible that restores 50 health to all classes but the Scout, who is healed for 75 health.

The Fishcake functions identically to the Dalokohs Bar.

Bugs

  • The Heavy's base HP may remain at 350 after consuming, allowing a self-overheal to 400 HP if eaten thereafter.
  • Frequently, the Dalokohs Bar may not overheal the Heavy if they are at full health.
  • If the Dalokohs Bar is the active weapon during Humiliation, it can still be thrown by using alternate fire, and eaten via taunting.

Trivia

  • "Dalokohs" spelled backwards is "shokolad," the Russian word for chocolate.
  • When the item was initially submitted, it contained only a BLU team texture and a normal map. The TF2 Team removed the normal map and created a RED texture through a simple hue change. Since then however, the item has been updated to include new materials by the original author and thus this change is no longer present within the game files.
