Analysis
Key: F Major/C Major
Time Signature: 4/4
Tempo: 125 BPM
Length: 2:34
Release Date: June 23, 2011
Update: Über
Composer: Mike Morasky
The song starts out with a strong, resolved C Major chord from a choir section, giving a triumphant feel with little tension. This is soon broken as the choir plays with a more dissonant sound, which introduces the more iconic stylings of the chromatic guitars and brass sections featured elsewhere on the soundtrack. The guitar plays predominantly within the F Blues scale, basing itself around the chord progression C5 D# F5 G#. This could easily be seen as a C Major progression, especially given how the C fits nicely as a tonic, however the riffs between chord changes are more in-line with an F Blues-style scale.
As the song slows down, the guitar fades out in unison with a newly-approaching drum fill and another, more-chromatic guitar. This carries the song into a similar section, now minus the guitar as only the percussion and brass create a more carefree section. After this break, the song repeats, with the guitar joining back in and repeating the same phrases.
