The Frag Grenade, or Fragmentation Grenade, is a scrapped grenade weapon in Team Fortress 2. It is an army green "pineapple" grenade with a team color-painted safety lever.

It likely would have functioned the same as in Team Fortress Classic, where it was the default 'regular' grenade for all classes and would simply create a small explosion akin to a Grenade Launcher grenade, possessing no special abilities in particular.

The Soldier carries two frag grenades on his belt which may have initially been used, but no longer serve any gameplay purpose aside from having been now repurposed for his Kamikaze kill taunt. Additionally, the grenades were colored yellow to aid in players being able to visually target the class.
