Control Point strategy.

General strategy

Class-specific strategy

Leaderboard class scout.png Scout

  • Being a Scout means you have a speed advantage over all the other players. If you see many of your team members capturing one control point, take lead and move onto the second, so not only will the other team be surprised, but they would be trying to attack 2 control points at once.
  • You can capture points faster than other classes, making you a valuable asset.

  • Use weapons such as the Pain Train to gain their special ability of double capture points to quickly capture a point and move onto the next, just like Scouts.

Leaderboard class pyro.png Pyro

  • You can airblast enemies off of the control point.

Leaderboard class demoman.png Demoman

  • Place Sticky Bombs around and on a control point to defend from enemies taking it.
  • Use the Pain Train to capture points as fast as Scouts.

Leaderboard class heavy.png Heavy

  • Basically like other game modes, kill the other team to make it easier for your team.

Leaderboard class engineer.png Engineer

  • Place your Sentry Gun near a control point to defend it from enemies.

Leaderboard class medic.png Medic

  • Stay outside control points as offense to heal team members.
  • Use your Übercharge on a Heavy to quickly dispatch enemy defenders.

Leaderboard class sniper.png Sniper

  • Pick off enemies one by one from attacking a control point, capturing one, or attacking your teammates.
