The Bear trap is a scrapped grenade weapon for Team Fortress 2. Its exact function is unknown, although it has been speculated that it may have been intended to be the equivalent of the Scout's Caltrop weapon from the Team Fortress classic series of games, which, if stepped on, would reduce the movement speed of opposing players, as well as damage them.
