Failure to Launch Kill 3 players riding the elevator within 10 seconds. Difficulty: Easy How to obtain: This is easily obtainable with the Soldier or Demoman, but can also be achieved somewhat easily with the Sniper, from a distance. Depending on how many people are on the lift, jumping from the nearby sniper decks with the Pyro may be a useful option. |
Lift-offed Push a player into the rocket's exhaust path at the end of the round. Difficulty: Medium How to obtain: You will need to be combating an enemy below the rocket, where the exhaust fumes are dispersed. They will push your enemy into the nearby crevice, and to their death. Luck is an element here. |
Mission Control Pick up the Australium from its home position and capture it without dropping it. Difficulty: Hard How to obtain: It is best to wait until the Australium is about to return to its initial position, and then capture with the Scout. Earning this achievement will require helpful teammates to keep the opposing team at bay. You can avoid enemy Snipers by crouching behind the rocket at an appropriate angle, but watch out for Sniper spots from below as well as from the opposite side of the map. |
Flight Crew Play in a game with five or more players from your Friends list. Difficulty: Easy How to obtain: Get 5 Steam friends and invite them to play with you. |
Escape Ferocity Kill an enemy who has damaged the Australium carrier in the last 3 seconds. Difficulty: Easy-Medium How to obtain: Help your teammates to capture the Australium, and then simply follow them. The carrier glows through walls, so enemies can easily attack him. When this happens, try killing the enemy as fast as possible, because the enemy will probably damage the carrier before you manage to kill him. If a pyro has ignited the carrier, killing the pyro will earn you the achievement. If you are carrying the Australium, you can also get this achievement by simply killing any enemies that damage you. |
The Fight Stuff Win 138 Rounds. Difficulty: Easy How to obtain: This achievement will naturally be obtained after a very, very significant amount of time playing on Doomsday. |
Cap-ogee Win a round with at least 5 teammates on the elevator. Difficulty: Medium How to obtain: Teamwork is important in this achievement. Your allies will naturally come on the capture zone if there is trouble with capturing the rocket, or if they are looking for the achievement themselves. Make sure no enemies attack from the Sniper Desk, as they can kill one or multiple allies on the capture zone. |
Best Case Scenario Kill 6 enemies carrying the Australium during the same round. Difficulty: Hard How to obtain: You will need to make the round last as long as possible. Pick the Sniper class and shoot every ennemy carrying the intelligence in your sight. You will need to be patient as this achievement can be really long. |
Plan Nine to Outer Space Launch the rocket as all 9 classes. Difficulty: Medium How to obtain: Play as a class until you are able to capture the rocket. Switch to another class and repeat until all nine classes have launched it. |
Rocket Booster Win a round after the enemy team has opened the rocket lid. Difficulty: Very Hard How to obtain: In a round where the opposing team has come just short of victory, kill the carrier before the case is secured, then defend it until it returns to the drop site. Then your team must take the case themselves and complete the entire launch sequence from the beginning. |
Space Camp Kill an enemy within the broken crate area while they attempt to pick up the neutral Australium. Difficulty: Medium How to obtain: At the beginning of a round (or when the Australium is reset), encounter any enemy near the neutral case and kill him. |
