Stock weapons

Stock weapons are weapons available to all players. Stock weapons are the default loadout for each class, and are the original set of weapons introduced with the release of Team Fortress 2. Stock weapons have the Normal quality, however, customizing a Stock weapon with the Name or Description Tag will create a Unique quality variant.

When the item system is unavailable, custom loadouts cannot be used and the player can only make use of Stock weapons.

Trivia

A very small amount of tradeable stock items exist, Which is the result of Steam support accidentally setting the wrong quality for an item that has been stolen, scammed, or hijacked. many of these are deleted by valve before they get a chance to be traded, Hence the fact that they are not supposed to exist, But after the item is traded to another person, it is unable to be affected by Valve.
