Team Fortress 2 Veřejná Beta je beta verze hry zpřístupněna všem vlastníkům Team Fortress 2, očekává se, že bude oznámena v blízké budoucnosti. Veřejná Beta bude použivána k testování různých změn do hry a sledovat jejich vliv na hratelnost, před integrací určité změny do hry.
Robin Walker has mentioned that the main goal of the beta would be to test how systems in the game affect each other and are affected, and that experiments would be "wide scale".
