Scream Fortress 2019 or Scream Fortress XI was a Halloween event and a major update that started October 1, 2019, with the in-game announcement of activation of the Halloween map menus and holiday-restricted cosmetics. Nine days later, the major update October 10, 2019 Patch added 2 new community Halloween maps, 22 new community cosmetic items, 5 new community holiday-restricted cosmetic items, and 20 new Unusual effects. The free Halloween Contracts were also reactivated in the ConTracker for the Event with 2 new contracts added to cover the new Halloween maps.

Timeline
On October 1st, 2019, holiday-restricted cosmetics were activated, and Soul Gargoyles began collecting souls. The Special Event menu for past Halloween maps was also added to the Casual mode selection.
On October 10th, 2019, Halloween Contracts were activated and the Special Event menu for the featured new Halloween maps was added. Soul Gargoyles were given out during this time to players who launched the game and did not yet have one.
The event ended on November 7th, 2019.
