Engineer on lempeä ja ystävällinen teksasilainen, jota kiinnostaa kaikki mekaanikkaan liittyvä. Hän on erikoistunut erilaisten joukkuettaan tukevien rakennusten rakentamiseen ja korjaamiseen, eikä hän osallistu etulinjojen taisteluihin paljoakaan. Engineerin laitevarastoon kuuluvat Vartiotykki, automaattinen tykki, joka ampuu kantomatkalla olevia vihollisia, Apulaite, laite, joka antaa lähellä oleville joukkuekavereille terveyttä ja ammuksia, sekä Teleportit, jotka nopeasti kuljettavat pelaajia paikasta A paikkaan B.
Koska Engineerin näppärät laitteet ovat jatkuvan räjähteiden ja juonittelevien vihollis-Spyitten uhan alaisena, hyvä Engineer pitää aina laitteitaan silmällä ja korjaa niitä tarvittaessa jakoavaimellaan. Jos Engineerin pitää puuttua taisteluun, hänen kolme perushyvää asettaan käytettynä hänen laitteittensa kanssa riittävät oman taistelun ylläpitämiseen. Perusstrategia
- Käytä Rakennustyökaluasi rakentaaksesi Vartiotykkejä, Apulaitteita ja Teleportteja paikkoihin, jotka ovat hyödyllisiä joukkueellesi.
- Tarvitset metallia rakentaaksesi, korjataksesi ja parantaaksesi rakennuksiasi. Kerää pudonneita aseita tai hajonneiden rakennusten osia saadaksesi metallia.
- Lyö Vartiotykkiä jakoavaimellasi parantaaksesi sitä. Jokainen taso lisää sen terveyspisteitä ja tulivoimaa.
- Rakenna Apulaitteita tarjotaksesi joukkuekavereillesi terveyttä ja ammuksia. Saat myös itse metallia Apulaitteista.
- Rakenna Teleportteja auttaaksesi joukkuetta pääsemään tärkeisiin paikkoihin helposti.
- Pidä silmällä vihollis-Spyita, jotka laittavat Tyhjentäjiä rakennuksiisi. Käytä Jakoavaintasi poistaaksesi Tyhjentäjät.
