A diagram showing how damage is affected by distance. The black sinusoidal wave is for most weapons. The maroon offshoot is used by syringe guns, and stickybomb launchers (when detonated within 5 seconds). In the center are some vertical lines that show the ±15% of random variation all attacks have (unless the server has disabled damage spread). There is also a dashed blue line that shows how critical hits prevent damage falloff from occurring by adding damage to offset any decrease.
