The Scotsman's Skullcutter is a community melee weapon wielded by the Demoman. It appears as a bloodied battle-axe with a wooden shaft and spiked handguard.
This weapon functions similarly to the Eyelander in that it has a large melee range and will decapitate enemies, but does not provide additional health or speed when an enemy player is killed. It is, however, able to deal 20% extra damage and will receive random Critical hits. The axe also appears to have considerable weight, as it slows the Demoman down from 280 units/second (93% of normal speed) to 238 units/second (78% of normal speed). This is 8 units/second faster than a Heavy and 2 units/second slower than a Soldier, making him the second slowest class with it equipped. This item was released in the May 20, 2010 Patch as part of the second round of Contribute! content.

Trivia
- The Scotsman's Skullcutter's speed penalty also decreases the speed of a charge, when used with the Chargin' Targe (reducing it from 750 units/second to 638).
- Contrary to popular belief, the Skullcutter does not have the same range as the Bottle.
- A Spy who is disguised as a Demoman with the Skullcutter equipped will not have his movement speed reduced by 15%.
- Most of the Team Fortress Quake mod's classes, including the Demoman, used a battle-axe as their melee weapon.
- This weapon was originally featured in Royzo's TF2 Mod emporium III.
- Like the Eyelander, this weapon still has blood on it in the censored version of Team Fortress 2, whereas the Übersaw and Axtinguisher are clean and have no blood.
- There is an unused axe located in the backpack files that resembles the Skullcutter. They share the same texture and general shape.
- Based on the similar designs and file names, this might be a prototype for the Horseless Headless Horsemann's Headtaker.
