Trivia
- The side of the axe has a face that looks like it's grinning, in a somewhat scary fashion.
- Although the axe glows when the Horseless Headless Horsemann uses the axe, the same glow is not present when equipped.
- Much like the Scotsman's Skullcutter, the axe does not have a taunt (aside from the Thriller taunt in effect for the Halloween event)
- The same kill icon is used for both the Horseless Headless Horsemann and the Demoman when getting a kill with the axe.
- The axe is the only melee weapon aside from the Spy's knives to show a person being struck in the kill icon.
