Trivia
- Although the axe glows when the Horseless Headless Horsemann uses the axe, the same glow is not present when equipped.
- Much like the Scotsman's Skullcutter, the axe does not have a taunt (aside from the Thriller taunt in effect for the Halloween event)
- The same kill icon is used for both the Horseless Headless Horsemann and the Demoman when getting a kill with the axe.
- The axe is the only melee weapon aside from the Spy's knives, headshots and the Sandman's ball to show a person being struck in the kill icon.
- Because the axe can only be crafted using the achievement-earned Unusual Haunted Metal Scrap, the Unusual Horseless Headless Horsemann's Headtaker cannot be traded.
