The Second Banana is a community-created secondary weapon for the Heavy that was released in the Jungle Inferno Update. It is a yellow, half-peeled banana with white insides.
This item functions similarly to the Sandvich. Pressing the primary fire or taunt button with the Second Banana active will allow the Heavy to consume it, and heal up to 200 health at the same rate as the Sandvich does. Unlike the Sandvich, however, the Second Banana has the ability to recharge with 10 seconds rather than 30.
The Second Banana was contributed to the Steam Workshop under the name "The Battle Banana".
