(Removed bug about Crit bonus damage not being affected by the resistance. The damage is intentionally split between the crit bonus and actual damage, then resistances are applied separately. See game/shared/tf/tf_gamerules.cpp:L6796, 6814, 6883)

Now Sasha - Don't be jealous
Natascha publicity blurb

The Natascha is an unlockable primary weapon for the Heavy. Similar in appearance to the default Minigun, the weapon's ammunition carrier is colored jet black instead, and from it emerges an additional chain belt, layered on the right of the gun, that feeds into the barrel.

Each bullet fired by the Natascha slows any enemy hit to a speed of 113 Hammer units per second (roughly 7.75 km/h or 4.81 mph) for a brief period of time, unless they are being actively healed by a source of continuous healing (for example, a Medic's Medi Gun, the Amputator's taunt, or a Dispenser); the speed penalty inflicted by each bullet decreases the further away a target moves. When spun-up, the weapon grants 20% damage resistance if the player's health falls below 50% of base health upon being hit. However, the Natascha has a 30% longer spin-up time, and fires bullets that deal 25% less damage than those of the default Minigun.

The Natascha is automatically awarded to any player who obtains 16 Heavy achievements.

The kill icon for the Natascha was contributed by NeoDement.

October 20, 2017 Patch #1 (Jungle Inferno Update)

  • The 1-second damage and accuracy penalty now applies to the first second of spun-up time, whether or not the Heavy is firing. Previously, the 1-second damage penalty would only be removed after 1 second of firing.
  • Accuracy and damage penalties now reset when the Heavy spins down, rather than when the Heavy stops firing. This means if you stay spun-up beyond one second, and fire in bursts, damage and accuracy will remain at 100%.

Bugs

  • The attribute "-20% damage resistance when below 50% health and spun up" is incorrect; the resistance also applies if the Heavy takes enough damage to reach, or go below 50% health while spun-up.
    • The attribute is incorrectly listed as "-20% damage resistance when below 50% health and spun up", instead of "+20%".
  • When empty, the weapon's dry fire sound does not loop properly and cuts out after a few seconds.
  • Holding alt-fire and tapping primary fire with one bullet left causes the Minigun to play the firing animation loop despite having no ammo. This is visible in third person and by other players.
  • Immediately revving after taunting causes the barrel to not spin, fixed by firing the gun.
  • When holding the primary fire button during a taunt, the Natascha's muzzle flash turns invisible.

Trivia

  • The Natascha is referred to as both the "Minifun" and "Ludmila" within the game files.
