The Nessie's Nine Iron is a community-created melee weapon for the Demoman. It is a standard golf club with a brown grip.

This weapon functions in exactly the same way as the Eyelander.

Taunting with the Nessie's Nine Iron will perform the Demoman's Decapitation kill taunt.

Bugs

  • Upon destroying an Engineer's building, the kill icon will be displayed as the normal kill icon for the Nine Iron - with the upper half of a stick figure's body.
  • The description of this weapon doesn't state that the weapon has wide melee range and collects heads. However, in-game it has these attributes.
  • Decapitating a Sniper using the Bazaar Bargain who has heads on his counter will steal those heads as if they were another Demoman with collected heads.

Trivia

  • The name of this weapon is based on the mythical Template:W (nicknamed Nessie), which is reputed to live in Loch Ness, Scotland.
  • The modern 18 hole game of golf was invented in Scotland, the Demoman's homeland.
  • The Nessie's Nine Iron is a left-handed golf club.
