홈레커는 파이로를 위한 커뮤니티 근접 무기 입니다. It is shown to be a large two-handed sledgehammer.
이 무기는 사용할때 엔지니어 의 건물 에 두배의 데미지를 줄 수 있습니다. 홈레커는 또한 아군의 건물에 부착 된 전자공병을 단 한번의 공격으로 파괴할 수도 있습니다. 하지만 엔지니어의 근접무기처럼 건물을 수리할 수는 없습니다. 또한, 홈레커는 적을 공격할때 데미지가 25% 반감됩니다.
건물들이 화염방사기의 데미지를 좀 더 잘 막을 수 있게 된 지금, 홈레커는 디스펜서와 텔레포터를 빠르게 제거하기에 굉장히 적합한 무기입니다. 센트리 건은 이 무기로 가장 파괴하기 힘든 건물인데, 그 이유는 넉백과 지속적인 사격 때문입니다. 따라서, 파이로가 센트리를 제거하기 위해선 아군 메딕 의 의료 지원이나 우버차지가 필수적입니다.

Damage
The damage of the Homewrecker is such that it will destroy all Buildings within two swings (the Combat Mini-sentry requiring only one), provided the building is not repaired between the first swing and the second, and that the building is not being protected with a Wrangler. The Homewrecker also destroys enemy Sappers in one swing.

Trivia
- While The Homewrecker was submitted with the name "Sledgehammer", The Homewrecker's original skin name was Mr Sledge, and was available as one of the Skins for the Axtinguisher.
- The Homewrecker was accidentally added to the drop system a day earlier as "Unknown Item 153". At that time, the item could be acquired through the random drop system, but not found in the backpack without the help of an external item manager. Approximately 1200 players found the item, but it did not drop into the backpack until the item was permanently and officially implemented on March 18. When moved into the backpack before this, the item took the placeholder icon of the Bottle.
- Larolaro, creator of this weapon, also created and submitted the winning Tank Buster Pack for the Polycount Pack contest.
