Pumpkin Bombs are a Halloween Spell that can be applied to weapons using the Squash Rockets, Sentry Quad-Pumpkins, and Gourd Grenades tool items. They can be found inside of Haunted Halloween Gifts on Ghost Fort, or from a Pile Of Curses, during Halloween events.

When applied it gives rockets a purple trail and any explosions will appear orange, in a similar manner to Pumpkin bombs.

It can be applied to any of Soldier's primaries with the exception of the Rocket Jumper, any of the Engineer's melee weapons, and to any explosive Demoman weapon (including the Ullapool Caber) with the exception of the Sticky Jumper.

Any unused Halloween Spell items are removed at the end of a Halloween event.

Bugs

• The backpack icons shown in the Steam inventory (and trading screen) incorrectly uses the coloring overlay intended for paint cans.
• These items cannot be applied to Stock weapons.
• Squash Rockets can be applied to the Cow Mangler 5000 but you will not see Squash Rockets effect.
• Sentry Quad-Pumpkins can be applied to the Gunslinger, despite the inability to build a level 3 Sentry Gun with it equipped.
• If the Sentry Quad-Pumpkin spell is applied to an all class melee weapon such as the Saxxy, Golden Frying Pan, or Necro Smasher, and is equipped on the Soldier, the spell will also affect any of the Soldier's primary weapons (excluding the Cow Mangler 5000) as if they had the Squash Rocket spell applied.

Trivia

• If a weapon with this spell applied is equipped, the Meteor Shower magic spell will spawn meteors with the appearance of squash rockets. The tesla bolt is also affected, but only with a purple trail and not the orange glow.
