Headless Horseshoes is a tool item. It can be found inside of Haunted Halloween Gifts on Ghost Fort, or from a Pile Of Curses, during Halloween events.
Using it on a hat and then wearing said hat will result in flaming purple footprints being left in the player's wake as they run, similar to the Horseless Headless Horsemann. It does not erase paint, and can be used with other spells at the same time.
Any unused Halloween Spell items are removed at the end of a Halloween event.

- Halloween Spell: Headless Horseshoes was added to the game.
October 29, 2013 Patch (Scream Fortress 2013)
- Enabled Halloween Spell Potions
- Effects will only be visible during Halloween/Full Moon events.
- All Halloween event items have automatically expired
- Halloween spells are no longer tradable.
- Enabled Halloween Spell Potions
- Updated Halloween Spells to be tradable.
Bugs
- The backpack icon incorrectly uses the coloring overlay intended for paint cans.
