Scream Fortress 2024 or Scream Fortress XVI was the Halloween event that started on October 1, 2024, with the in-game activation of holiday-restricted cosmetics. Nine days later, the major seasonal update October 10, 2024 Patch added 7 new community Halloween maps, 21 new community cosmetic items, 4 new community taunts, 22 new Unusual effects, 12 new community War Paints, and a new community-created game mode: Tug of War. The free Halloween Contracts were also reactivated in the ConTracker for the Event, with 7 new contracts added to cover the new Halloween maps. Additionally, all previously completed Halloween contracts were reset, allowing players to earn their rewards once again.
