Outburst is a community-created Versus Saxton Hale map released during the Scream Fortress 2024 update. It takes place in a lush forest in hell.
This map features unique pools of healing water, as well as magical orb-like portals that teleport the player to a pre-determined location when touched. It also features a new design for Saxton Hale, a new ability where he ignites players upon performing a Mighty Slam (albeit at the cost of a 10% damage penalty)[1], as well as some new voice lines.
Outburst was contributed to the Steam Workshop.
Locations
- Spawn: BLU has no Spawn rooms or Resupply Cabinets. They spawn between the Cliffside Shed and the Small Tree Stump.
- Control Point: The main control point, located in between the Tree Catwalks and Big Oak.
- Cliffside Shed: A half burnt-down shed containing a large healt kit located near the edge of a cliff.
- Tree Stump: Found in front of the Cliffside Shed, has a medium ammo pack on top of it.
- River of Lava: It flows from the main control point till Cliffside Shed, where it falls down a cliff beyond the playable area.
- Tree Catwalks: Near the main control point are two small trees with a wooden platform and an interconnecting catwalk built on them.
- Mining Shack: Located behind the control point is a dilapidated shack with only its porch remaining.
- Mining Shack Balcony: Hanging from the side of the Mining Shack is a wooden terrace, which can be used to reach the Big Oak Perch.
- Ale House: A wild-west style building found to the rear of the Big Oak.
- Big Oak: The largest and most central location of the map, it is a massive tree with a large and multi-floored interior.
- Perch: Attached to the side of the Big Oak are two flimsy platforms, which overview the point.
- Healing Ponds: Two tiny puddles containing a healing mixture can be found on the map. They heal at a rate of 10% of max health per second[2] and can only be used by the Mercenaries.
- First Healing Pond: The Healing Pool closest to BLU's initial spawn is located near the River of Lava. Separating it from the Point are the two Tree Catwalks.
- Second Healing Pond: Found to the rear of the Big Oak, next to the Ale House.
Portal orbs
The map features glowing orbs suspended in mid-air which act as teleportation devices. They can be found in 7 different locations, although only one or two orbs are active at any given time. Upon touching an orb, it disappears and the player is instantaneously brought to a new location, which is specific for each orb. After approximately 3 seconds, a new orb appears randomly in one of the 7 given locations. The orbs allow the Mercenaries to quickly escape Saxton if he gets too close.
Strategy
“Sun Tzu's got nothing on us!” This map's Community strategy page is a stub. As such, it is not complete. You can help the Team Fortress Wiki Community Strategy Project by expanding it. Notes: None added |
