The Darwin's Danger Shield is a craftable secondary weapon for the Sniper class. It appears as a crocodile hide, complete with tail, strung to a wood canvas. A bird skull is tied to the body strap.
Similar to the Razorback, Darwin's Danger Shield is a passive item that provides 25 max health bonus to the player.

This item is part of the Croc-o-Style Kit. When the entire set is worn, the set provides this additional bonus:
- The wearer cannot be killed by headshots

- 'Darwin' is the capital of the Northern Territory, Australia. (The Sniper is from Australia.)
- Crocodiles are easily found around Darwin.
- Charles Darwin (usually just referred to as 'Darwin') is known for the scientific theory natural selection, evolution of life where the fittest animals and plants have a higher chance of survival.
- Equipping Darwin's Danger Shield is the only way a Sniper can survive a fully charged body shot from an enemy Sniper without being overhealed by a Medic.
- The tail of the Darwin Danger Shield is jiggleboned.
- This item might come from the same crocodile as Ol' Snaggletooth.
