The Kukri is the default melee weapon for the Sniper. It is a Template:W, the curved knife made famous by the Indian and Nepalese Gurkhas warriors.
Snipers proficient with this weapon will be able to take down Spies aiming to catch a player offguard, as well as other classes that may attempt to attack at close range.
The critical hit animation of the Kukri is a double-handed overhead swing, similar to the Pyro's normal melee attack and the Eyelander's critical swing.
