Advanced Weaponiser est le nom d'un plugin SourceMod pour serveur qui ajoute de nouveaux objets à Team Fortress 2. Il a été développé par MechaTheSlag et la version actuelle est la 2.0.7.
Un nouveau système d'équipement à été créer spécéfiquement pour Advanced Weaponiser. Le système d'iventaire à été fait pour ressembler à l'actuel Inventaire In-Game. Dans le même contexte que le système d'inventaire de TF2, l'inventaire de n'importe quel joueur peut être vue en ajoutant leur Steam ID au bout de l'URL.
Par exemple, l'inventaire de MechaTheSlag peut être vue ici, et son équipement peut être vue ici.

Démonstration de Gameplay (en anglais)
Usage basique
- Advanced Weaponiser associe automatiquement l'inventaire au Steam ID du joueur, leur laissant leurs items et l'équipement sur tous les serveurs ayant ce plugin.
- Quand vous vous connectez à un serveur utilisant ce plugin, vous n'aurez aucun objet venant d'Advanced Weaponiser, mais, vous en gagnerez un après avoir passer du temps sur le(s) serveur(s).
- Comment le drop officiel de TF2, les joueurs se verront donner un objet d'Advanced Weaponiser au fur et à mesure qu'ils jouent sur un serveur utilisant ce plugin, continuant rapidement jusqu'à qu'ils aient au moins un exemplaire de chacune arme non-restreint. Le système de drop donnera des armes aléatoire plus lentement.
- Quand vous recevez un nouvel objet, vous serez présenté à une page Internet montrant l'apparence, le nom, la classe l'utilisant, les statistiques de l'arme et vous aurez le choix entre l'équiper immédiatement ou fermer le message.
- Le système de craft est actuellement désactiver car il a été facilement abusé et manipulé.
- Les armes peuvent aussi s'acheter via le Magasin SLAG avec des SLAG Shillings ou des Livres Sterling (£).

Known Bugs
- Not every weapon has a working viewmodel yet.
- The Patch du 14 avril 2011 introduced a permanent bug where players could no longer view most custom weapon/hat models.
- Snipers equipped with The Walkabout have the cosmetic attachments of their 'real' primary weapon displayed on their player model (i.e. arrows in the quiver with the Huntsman equipped, darts in the pocket with the Sydney Sleeper).
- Players on a Mac are prone to random crashes. The source of the problem is known (the HTML 'Message Of The Day' window), but disabling MOTDs in TF2 prevents players from accessing their AW loadout, so it's not an acceptable fix.

Trivia
- Several weapons in Weaponiser are based on unused and beta items.
- Weapons that featured in this mod are sometimes officially added to the game, using either their model or stats:
- The original stats for the Endless Carnage were the same as the stats now used for the Back Scratcher.
- The stats for the Gentle Manne's Olde Firecannone were very similar to the stats now used for the Detonator.
- Before being officially added to the game, the Fists of Steel model was used for a weapon by the same name. Because of this, the Advanced Weaponiser version was renamed to the Alternative Fists of Steel, and given visual distinction from the official version by using a plain steel texture.
- The Great Slag Treasure Hunt was a special event hosted a few months before the end of Version 1, giving AW players the chance to gain three weapons which were (at the time) exclusively found as treasure hunt prizes. Players had to collect 4 clues (the letters S, L, A and G) and stand at specific points on specific maps to claim their prize.
- The Pegasus Boots were found on koth_viaduct, The Celtic King was found on koth_nucleus, and The Lethal Injection was found on koth_harvest_event.
- Despite the Bloody Hurtland having a kill icon, it was never provided for client download at any point.
- The model of the the Heart Opener is based on the Yatagarasu's Key from Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth.
- The model of the Endless Carnage is based on a chainaxe from the Warhammer 40,000 universe.
- The model of the Revolvin' Revolver is based on Skelter Helter's gun from No More Heroes 2.
- The Rad Rap is modeled after the hat worn by "Russel" on the cover of the Gorillaz album "Demon Days."
- The description for the Rad Rap is a reference to the Gorillaz song On Melancholy Hill.
- The model for Maxine appears to be based on the Vickers machine gun.
- Version 1 had its own achievements system (based upon one of Mecha's other plugins), and players who fulfilled the achievement conditions were rewarded with hat skins like the Rad Rap.
- Achievements were removed in Version 2 because they left the plugin open to exploitation.
- Every player's AW Backpack was wiped clean upon the launch of Version 2.
- All Self-Made and Community items were re-issued to the players who owned them after the upgrade.
- Updates to Advanced Weaponiser sometimes celebrate 'item drop' milestones:
- From the 300,000th AW item drop onwards (a combined total of all AW v1 and early AW v2 drops), every 1,000th AW item found is of Unusual quality, with particle effects attached to the weapon models.
- There was a brief bug where players could find unusual crafting items, such as Attribute Scrolls.
- Crafting was activated at the 500,000th item drop.
- From the 300,000th AW item drop onwards (a combined total of all AW v1 and early AW v2 drops), every 1,000th AW item found is of Unusual quality, with particle effects attached to the weapon models.
