Upon taunting with the Eyelander or Half-Zatoichi equipped, the Demoman brings his sword up in one hand, twirls it, and then slashes horizontally at neck level, before cleaning the blade with his fingers. The swing of the sword will decapitate any enemy slow, unaware or simply unfortunate enough to be within range.
Killing a player with this taunt adds a head to the Eyelander's meter but does not count towards any achievements that count the Eyelander's kills.
As with all kill taunts, this taunt can be used to kill enemy players during humiliation and stalemates.

Update history
- Fixed a server crash caused by the Demo taunt kill.
Bugs
- Kills made by taunting with the Half-Zatoichi do not give the Demoman full health, nor allow him to switch weapons afterwards.
- The taunt will still decapitate if the target is standing directly on top or underneath of the Demoman.
Trivia
- There is an unused "decapitated" model located in the game files which depicts a clean cut neck, located in the Soldier directory.
- Though the Horseless Headless Horsemann's Headtaker functions exactly the same as the Eyelander in every other aspect, it is unable to perform the decapitation taunt.
