Trivia
- The actual Big Kill was about twice as large in the original comic books, often with the barrel bending under its own weight.
- Sam's gun was not referred to in the Sam & Max series as "Big Kill" until being listed under this name in the notebook in episode 3 of season 3, "They Stole Max's Brain!." Sam refers to it then as "My 2nd best and 3rd most dangerous friend."
- Although the Big Kill uses the Revolver's stats, the model itself is actually re-skin of the Ambassador, and also uses the Ambassador's animations.
- The weapon closely resembles a combination between a Smith & Wesson Model 29 and a Colt Peacemaker.
- The kill icon for the Big Kill was originally the same as the Revolver. This was changed to its current kill icon in the July 8, 2010 patch.
- The name 'Big Kill' was first used in an early drawing by Steve Purcell, the Creator of Sam & Max[1]
- Some players wondered why the "Big Kill" was so big compared to the Spy's hand, thats because Valve wanted the weapons to have the style of the Sam and Max series.
- When the view screen size has been expanded to it's maximum, it is shown that the Spy does not insert bullets into the cylinder.
