The Nanobalaclava is a community-created promotional cosmetic item for the Spy. It is based on the helmets worn by Sneakers in the video game Deus Ex: Human Revolution; a black and grey futuristic helmet with team-colored elements.
This item was awarded in Genuine quality to players who pre-purchased Deus Ex: Human Revolution on Steam before August 26, 2011.

Trivia
- Sneakers have a cloaking ability quite similar to the Spy's.
- In the Item schema, this cosmetic is called "Belltower Spec Ops", a reference to the type of enemy that wears this helmet in Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
