The Golden Wrench appears to be an item of limited availability that turns an enemy's corpse to gold, and that it is "imbued with an ancient power". A line on TF2items.net states: "Can be found : Yes", meaning that it can be acquired through the Item drop system

A coded letter was also hidden in the new update. When the text is decoded with the key "saxtonhale", it reveals the message: "Clearly here is more space than needed. I wonder what else was here!"
