The Pocket Purrer is a community-created cosmetic item for the Engineer. It is a small tuxedo cat that rests in the Engineer's ammo pouch.
When players equipped with this item kill an enemy unassisted by another player, the killfeed shows everyone in Pyroland that it gets the assist, with its custom name if it has one.
The Pocket Purrer was contributed to the Steam Workshop.

Trivia
- In the item description, the Pocket Purrer saying, "that cantilever is deflected over its g-type joist girder", is in fact referring to a real engineering phenomenon. In this case, a long beam is bending downwards towards the structure that is supporting it.
