The TF2Maps 72hr Jam is an annual community showcase and charity drive event hosted by several TF2Maps, to raise money for several charities, including AbleGamers, Redkite, The Trevor Project, and Direct Relief. It is hosted periodically over a weekend, where participants are encouraged to create a new item or map from scratch, and submit it within the 72 hour deadline. These submissions are then compiled into a showcase, and each participant is awarded a participation medal for their time. Additionally, donating certain amounts to the charity drives will also award donors with unique in-game medals. Players may receive both medals once per event, if they desire.
Each medal has two styles, called "Medal" and "Pin". The Pin style removes the ribbon from the medals, leaving just their pins.
