The Hitman's Heatmaker is a primary weapon for the Sniper. It is a slightly stubby Sniper Rifle, fitted with a sleek scope, a wooden stock with a brown leather rest, and a suppressor attached to its barrel.

The Hitman's Heatmaker's Focus system is similar to the Bazaar Bargain's Headshot system, but the bonus is simply gained on kills or assists, rather than successful headshots. In addition, successful headshot kills will decapitate the target. However, bodyshots deal 20% less damage, and fully-charged bodyshots will not be able to one-shot any class, dealing only 120 damage.

The weapon requires 3 kills (or 9 assists, or any combination of those) in order to fill the Focus bar entirely. It triggers automatically if it is filled with a killing shot. While focused, your weapon will fire tracer darts similar to the Machina's, and you won't unscope after firing. This does not increase your fire rate.

The Hitman's Heatmaker was contributed to the Steam Workshop under the name "Feather Duster".

• The Hitman's Heatmaker was added to the game.

Bugs

• Only the shot triggering Focus mode will make noise. The others are completely silent.
• You are capable of manually unscoping during focus.
• The cosmetic tracer effect during Focus mode also applies to bullets fired from an SMG if you switch weapons when in Focus mode.

Trivia

• The Hitman's Heatmaker combines the stock real-life WA2000 with the general shape of the VSS Vintorez.
• The Hitman's Heatmaker's description is a reference to the song of the same name made famous by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
• The Hitman's Heatmaker is a reference to the video game series Hitman, as in the name and WA-2000 stock, Agent 47's signature weapon.
