The Frying Pan is a promotional melee weapon available to both the Soldier and Demoman. It appears as a slightly worn cast-iron skillet with a thin film of grease caked onto the bottom.
De Braadpan verplaatst de Shovel/nl of de Bottle/nl zonder enig effect te hebben op de gameplay, net zoals de Lugermorph/nl en de Pistol/nl of de Big Kill/nl en de Revolver/nl. Critical hit/nl animaties zijn gelijk aan de standaard wapens, net zoals de taunt/nls. Bij contact met een oppervlak of met een speler, zal het een geluid afspelen dat identiek is aan het geluid dat word afgespeeld in Left 4 Dead 2.
Dit wapen, samen met de Ellis' Cap/nl, werd gegeven aan spelers die de aankoopLeft 4 Dead 2, als onderdeel van de Sacrifice DLC hebben gemaakt.

Update history
- The item was added to the game.
- Made the Frying Pan tradable.
- Fixed the Frying Pan not being tradable.
- It was possible to craft this weapon using the "Fabricate Class Weapons" blueprint before the ability to do so was disabled.
- This weapon was given a unique kill icon.
Bugs
- Taunting with the Frying Pan will play the respective taunts of the Shovel and Bottle. As a result, the weapon will clip through the Demoman's leg during the taunt.
- Even if Left 4 Dead 2 is purchased after October 7, 2010, Ellis' Cap and The Frying Pan can still be obtained as Promotional Items.
- The weapon is held oddly in the Demoman's hand in client view; it is positioned at an angle, clipping slightly into the hand. This is because the client animations are based on the Bottle.

Soldier frying maggots with the Frying Pan
- On The Sacrifice update page, the Soldier can be seen cooking maggots in the Frying Pan while the Scout, wearing Ellis' Cap, looks on. It appears the two classes are sitting in part of the map Viaduct.
- A custom skin from Day 3 of the unofficial Fancy vs. Nasty Update replaces the Equalizer with a Frying Pan. An updated version was later released that replaces the official Frying Pan model.[1].
